3 years later and still so very much in love!

On this day three years ago I woke up beside my best friend. As I woke up I soon realized that we had 30 minutes to be up and checked out of our hotel room, so it was a little frantic, but wow what a wonderful feeling to be with the man that I love. We soon were out of our room and heading to a late breakfast. Our only plan for the day was to drive the two hours to San Fransisco and just hang out. We had found a wonderful little inn right on the San Fransisco Bay to stay the night before we headed to Hawaii for ten days. This was the beginning of our life together. Our honeymoon was absolutely perfect. I loved every single minute and would not trade that experience for the world. I can only hope that one day we will be able to return.
Now I have been married to this incredible man of three years and we have been through so much, but I can honestly say I love him more today than I ever have. It is always crazy to look back and realize how much we have done, how much we have grown and how much we have learned. I am so thankful for each experience, even the difficult ones. Charlie always says that if we did not go through the difficult times our marriage would never be strengthened. He is completely right and I think God has given us an incredible marriage that I will always cherish.
We decided when we got married that we would not buy each other anniversary presents because we would rather spend the money on doing something together. We have really enjoyed doing that. Our first year we went to see the Lion King on stage. It was fabulous. Last year we went to Disneyland for the day. This year we had to change our plans a little since we had our unexpected trip to Vegas. We hired my mom to watch Jack for the day (not that that is really very difficult). Then we went shopping, had dinner and saw the new X-Men movie. Sure it may not have been the most romantic movie, but it was time together. It was a day that I did not have to think about anything else except Charlie. I felt like we were just dating again. We enjoyed every second because we were together.
Charlie I am so thankful for you. You have been more than I could have ever asked for. I never thought being married to my best friend could be quite so wonderful. You challenge me each day to be a better person. I have enjoyed becoming parents and watching you with Jack. You are a wonderful father and make every effort to be involved in the details of his life. I know he is going to want to be just like his dad. I look forward to many more years with you. We have many more adventures to come and I am excited that you will be by my side through them all. Thank you for choosing me and loving me. I often feel as though I don't deserve you, but I am so thankful that God has given you to me. Happy ANniversary my love!!!
