October!!!

Jack is growing up so fast. I can't believe it. In this last month (which has not really even been a full month yet)he has mastered crawling on his hands and knees, started pulling himself up, moving from furniture to furniture, crawling up my parents stairs and he is working on two more teeth. He is so much fun. We love everything about him. I have to keep my eye on him constantly though. I realize he is going to get hurt as he starts walking, but I just worry about him getting seriously injured because of our wood floors. I guess he will be okay.

Life is good when you can look at it like everyone else. No more looking at the floor all the time.

Not only did Jack learn so many new things the past three weeks, we also have been pretty busy with the family. Our family began a tradition a few years back to have a milk jug derby each fall. It has been a few years, so we decided to restart this annual tradition. The idea is that you have a 1/2 gal. milk jug and there are two races it needs to complete. One down the hill and the other across the water. There were some pretty amazing designs.Jack loved watching the events as he sat with Grandma. He is holding my car in this picture. I had the mini van.
Charlie and I conquered. We tied for first overall. It is basically a double elimination tournament. Our milk jugs with hot wheels proved to be good on land and water.

I just had to throw this in, another picture of Jack standing up. His favorite place in our house is at this coffee table. Thank you Aunt Kristen for letting us have the table.

Another event we celebrated was my mom's birthday. So, I know there are a lot of birthday posts. There are two reasons for this. One, when fall comes every person in my immediate family (except Chris and I) has a birthday in the fall. It is every couple weeks until Christmas. Crazy time of year. The second reason I have been posting about birthdays is because I have really enjoyed making the birthday cakes and I like to be able to share them. I really liked my mom's cake and I had a lot of fun putting it together. It took a little more time than some of the other cakes, but it was amazing. And to top it all off, it was a carrot cake made from scratch, which is amazing, if I do say so myself. This is one of Jack's favorite places to sit. I think he is distracted by the cake. And yes, he did get a piece from his grandma. What can I say I passed on my sweettooth.

This week Charlie took a day off, so we took Jack to the park. We had a great time. Of course we have to realize it is probably more for us than for Jack, but he seemed to have a great time. It was not very crowded so we took him on the swings and he crawled all over the play structure.

We had just arrived so he was not so sure what to think of all of this. Besides whenever there ar other kids around he does not really pay attention to us.

Look at our big boy.

He even lounged on the slide. What a life.

Charlie had a great time taking pictures of Jack in all different positions.

Look at that face, too cute.

He loves those all there little kids. One of the girls really enjoyed playing with him.

Last swing for the day.

Just for fun, Daddy was having a little bit of fun before bedtime. The wig did not stay on very long.
Well, I hope you enjoyed the post and all the pictures. Life around the Cazin house is full of adventure with Jack. I know these past few months have been a huge challenge for us and some days are incredible difficult. However, each day in the midst of our trials I look at Jack and I am so thankful for all the joy he brings into our lives. I thank the Lord everyday for this incredible gift. He brings laughter, smiles, innocence, and joy to our lives and I would not trade him for anything. Thank you Jesus that you know exactly what we need each day. I love my family and can't thank God for them enough.
