Jack's First Snow

We woke up to about 6 inches of snow on our deck this morning. It was aboslutely beautiful. I love the snow and I am so thankful that I live in a place that gets snow a few times a year. When we bought our house this past year I was a little sad to be moving down the hill because I knew that we would not be getting as much snow at our new house. We always got a lot of snow at our apartment and it would stay around for a long time. Yes our snow does not stay super long and it is not as much as we usually get, but I have enjoyed the fact that there are still mornings when I wake up to snow. I think I could easily live in a place that gets more snow. It is one of my favorite things. I know life slows down and there are days like today that you just don't go anywhere, but it is awesome. Well, Jack got to experience his first snow today. Last week we got snow, but we did not take him outside. Today we thought we should bundle him up and at least take a picture of him in the snow. So him and I stepped outside in the snow while Charlie stayed inside the door and took our picture. It really was that quick. Next year we might be able to stay out and play a little while. Besides, we don't really have clothes condusive to snow for a newborn.

I know the pictures are sideways, but I wanted to throw them on here real quick. We took one of Charlie's snow boots and put Jack inside one of them. As we were outside it began to snow a little, but he did not seem to mind.
I thought I would also throw on a few other pictures of Jack from the past two weeks, since we have been home. Charlie's mom came and visited for a week. It was nice to have her here and I know she enjoyed the time with Jack. It maybe a while before we see her again.

This is my favorite

Our little boy will be three weeks old on Sunday and when we went in for his two week check-up he weighed 7lbs 10 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. He is growing well and sleeping well at night in his bassinet. I am able to get sleep in 2-3 hour stretches which is bearable. We are loving our little guy and are still so amazed that he belongs to us. What a blessing.
