The 30's

Charlie really blessed me this year with my birthday and mother's day. I felt so special. We kind of did a few weeks worth of celebrating, but I was fun to just have the celebration last. I was in Texas the weekend before my birthday, so we had to plan around a few other events. However, everything worked out perfectly. I turned the big 3-0 this year. Hard to believe that I am actually that old. People kept asking me how it felt, but to be honest, I really don't feel like I am old enough to be 30. I still imagine myself to be pretty young. I guess that is a good thing. Young at heart. I realize that 30 is not that old, but it is one of those ages when you are growing up that seems really old. THankfully, I don't feel that old and I am been told I really don't look 30 (bless my mom's genes). Since it was a big birthday Charlie had several things planned. On my actual birthday Charlei took me out to a nice dinner after we both got off work. Thank you to my parents for watching Jack so we could have a leisurely dinner. Then Saturday night we had planned to leave Jack with my parents again so we could go see "The Avengers". Great movie!!! I guess that was our date night, but we had to divide it into two differnt evenings becuase of time.

For Mother's Day we had a Mother's Day slash birthday celebration. My cousin Adam has a birthday 6 days after mine. Mother's Day always falls on or between our birthdays, so growing up we always had a big birthday/mother's day picnic to celebrate everyone. We decided to revive that tradition this year and we had a family celebration at my parent's house. It was a lot of fun.

Jack brought me flowers. After he finished his lunch, Charlie took him out to the car and handed him the flowers. He walked into the house carrying them upside down. He was so cute about it. Unfortunately, we were not ready with the camera when he first came in. I have such a sweet son and husband.
The next week Charlie planned a day at the park to celebrate with all our friends. It was such a beautiful day. I absolutely love spring and I had a great time just relaxing at the park and enjoying the company of people I love so very much. Thank you to everyone who was able to come. I felt very special and very loved. Thank you to my amazing husband for everything he does for me. I am so very blessed.

I had to through in a few pictures of what else has been going on this month. I realized I have not been very good about taking pictures of this pregnancy, so I finally remembered to take a picture and thought I should post it. This picture was taken last weekend when I was 20 weeks. Now I am 21. Tuesday we get to go in for our ultrasound. No, we are not going to find out what we are having. We really enjoyed not knowing with Jack, but we are excited to see the little baby. It always makes everything so much more real. I am due Oct. 6, for those of you who may not know. Half way and we are getting really excited.
Also, what is a post without a super cute picture of Jack. Yes, these are my oven mitts. He loves to help me cook in the kitchen. What an amazing little boy we have. He is 15 months and trying to run every where. Of course, he always gets ahead of himself. He has a lot to say and always carries on a conversation with us, even though we have no idea what he is trying to tell us. The best part is that at certain points in the conversation he will just start laughing. He thinks he is the funniest person there is. Our lives are so much fun.
