Jack is 7months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My little boy is seven months old!! It is amazing how time flies. He is growing so fast and seems to change every day. I try to soak up every moment, but it still does not feel like enough. However, he is so much fun. Our little guy has quite a love for life. He is so full of joy and often stops eating so he can watch the things around him, or play. Jack sleeps a lot right now because he plays so hard. He has discovered so many things and really enjoys exploring everything. I have to stay right on top of him to make sure he does not get into things he should not. He is pretty stubborn, so a little flick of the hand and a harsh "no" does not deter him from trying again. Jack gets pretty frustrated when something is taken away from him, but he quickly finds something else and then it prefectly fine. It is so much fun to see his personality come to life. I think he is a lot like Charlie. I am very thankful for that because I love Charlie's joyful spirit and optimism. Jack loves to talk and laugh. He seems to tell me stories all day long and when Dad comes home he loves to laugh with him. Some of his favorite things include his stuffed frog and giraffe, all electronics, the TV is a favorite, music, his two butterfly toys and being able to move. He always wants what we have. He loves to eat my apples during lunch and he tries to share my water bottles.
Jack is starting to play in his room a lot. I often find him in a pile among his animals The duck in the corner is one of his favorites. It sings songs.
What a happy little boy Jack is. Him and I have a pretty good routine each day. He wakes up between 7 and 7:30 and has breakfast. He nurses a little and then usually has bananas and cereal. I tried to give him applesauce a few times but he really does not like it. Then we quietly play until about 9 and he goes down for a nap. Once he wakes up for a nap we go on our daily walk around the neighborhood. Most days Jack really enjoys being in the stroller and looking around at everything we walk by. When we get home it is time for him to eat again and I usually have to get ready for the day. For the next few hours if we are home he plays pretty hard on the floor. He crawls all over the place and will follow me into other rooms. At two I put him down for another nap and he sleeps for a few hours while I get more chores done. Around 3:30 he eats again and then we play until Dad comes home. SOmetimes there is an evening nap before dinner. After he has a bath, we read a story and then he heads for bed around 9. Sometimes this is earlier if he gets overly tired. I enjoy the routine and he does very well. I try to plan our outings around his sleeping and eating. Jack is eating real food for breakfast and dinner. I have been making my own baby food. So far we have had yams, bananas, carrots and chicken. He does not really like the chicken. I think I have to figure out a better way to do this and maybe we will have a better chance of him eating. Meal time provides a lot of entertainment and usually gets all over his face. This was an especially messy meal time.
We try to have a bath more often now that he is eating real food. He gets messy so fast between the food, crawling and dirty diapers. Jack sits up in the bath and loves to play with his bath toys. As you can see in this picture he also has two teeth on the bottom. He got his teeth back at the beginning of July, but this is the first time they have shown up in a picture. Jack sits up pretty good on his own. There are have been a few hard falls back on our hardwood floors, but he does pretty well. Also, he is moving around pretty good. Jack army crawls all over the house. He gets up on all fours occassionally, but does not get anywhere yet. He just scoots his way around, but he can move pretty fast. We have to keep an eye on him at all times.
