So, Jack is six weeks old now and things are wonderful. Yes, what everyone says is true. Being a mother is the most difficult and most wonderful thing I have ever done. I have my good days and my bad days. I have moments when I am overly emotional and feel as though it will never get easier. However, then I have days when I love every minute and I am filled with confidence. I now that the rest of my life will be like this, but I am choosing to enjoy the great moments and hold on to those in the difficult. Sure that is easier said than done. I was talking to Charlie about all these different emotions and I told him that for the first time in a very long time I feel completely content. It seems as though the life I have always dreamed of is becoming a reality. I feel so blessed.
As for Jack, he is doing wonderful. He is a very good baby most of the time. Like all babies, he has his fussy moments, but they are usually for a very good reason. I have him on a pretty good routine. He eats every 3 hours, takes good naps in the afternoon and sleeps in his bed during the night in stretches of either 3-5 hours. Each morning we bring him in bed with us as Charlie gets ready for work and we cuddle as a family. I love those moments He has begun smiling and cooing. We love that he is starting to notice us and interact a little with us. Charlie and I love every moment and often find ourselves just staring at him.
So, here is a fun picture for you to enjoy. It is proof that Charlie has his little boxer.
