Today I only have one week left until my due date. I have so many emotions running through my head. I am really excited to know what my baby is going to be and to be able to hold our child. I am ready to enter into the realm of parenthood and have a baby of our own. I know it will not be easy, but I also know I have waited to long for this and I can't believe it is finally coming. It is going to be an amazing adventure. I am so thankful that I have Charlie to embark on this adventure with me. On the other hand, I get really anxious about the process. I know that is normal, but as I start to have more contractions it is all so much more real that it was before. Again, knowing that Charlie will be with me each step of the way and he is so encouraging, it makes the entire situation so much more approachable.
I guess I am really just ready. I know that this gift from the Lord is coming at just the right time in my life. It will bring a drastic change, but an amazing change at that. I do not do well with change, but when I look back, every major change in my life what the best thing at that point in my life.
So this week I have decided that I will just try to relax, but also keep my mind occupied so I am not constantly wondering when my labor will start. I have plans to scrapbook, sleep, walk, read, and make some phone calls. It will be a quiet week, but I know it will be a great week as we anticipate the arrival of our bundle of joy. I really can't wait to know what our baby is going to be. That is probably the most exciting thing. I will try to take a picture, but I just have not gotten around to it. I have not grown a whole lot in the past few weeks. It seems that I have only just changed shape since the baby has dropped.
