My Sister is Engaged!!!!!!!

I can finally let it out. I have been holding this secret in for weeks. Chris and I have been conspiring for a few weeks about the ring and the proposal plans. I have really enjoyed being a part of this whole thing, but man it is really hard to keep a secret from my sister. I guess it is a good thing she lives in Texas. She can't see my face when I am asking questions or trying to hold something in.
Anyway, I got a call Monday night. It was my sister asking me to be her "Maid of Honor." SHe was so excited I guess she forgot I would actually be the Matron of Honor...just kidding. She has been waiting for this moment for so long and I am so excited for her. I absolutely love being married so I am excited to be able to share this part of life with her.
Chris is an amazing guy. He is from Tennessee. THey met at Southwestern Seminary in Texas. I have to say I was not very happy with her when she decided that she was going to stay in Texas after she graduated in May, but God knew best because she met Chris and now I am going to have a wonderful brother-in-law who fits right into the family. I couldn't be more happy for her. Now my mom and I will be busy planning a wedding. THey will be getting married in Grass Valley sometime this summer. I guess they are hoping for May, but we will see. I am excited to be a "Matron on Honor." What a priviledge.
Oh for those of you who may want to know the story. Here it is, the short version of course. If you want to know more you might just have to ask her for the details. Chris planned an evening at her house to have dinner and play games. He had set it up so that her roommate had "planned" on making them dinner and then would not be able to be there. Well, after they had dinner they decided to play scrabble(one of their favorite games). He had it all set up that part way through the game one of her friends would stop by and need to talk to her for a moment. As Kristen was talking with her friend CHris had a chance to switch the scrabble boards with one he had glued letters on to say "I love you Kristen. Will you marry me?" ANyway, it was pretty exciting and I can't wait to be part of this whole process. Love you Kristen and Chris. Congratulations.
